About

Born and raised in New Mexico, Julia Harris is a proud local IATSE 480 costumer and ager/dyer.

Growing up with her mother (who learned from her mother) teaching her to sew, and studying at the University of New Mexico, Julia graduated with her BA in Theatre with Departmental Honors and Magna Cum Laude in 2011.

With a passionate dedication to the entire craft of costuming, Julia has experience as a budding ager/dyer, truck costumer, set and key background costumer, indie film costume designer, commercial stylist, and local theatre costume designer.

Favorite projects include costume designing LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, at the historic Albuquerque Little Theatre, costume designing WWI set award winning short film FOG OF WAR, designing indie film MANSON BROTHERS MIDNIGHT ZOMBIE MASSACRE, writing, producing, designing and performing her one-woman-show, MARIE ANTOINETTE IN HER TOILETTE EATING CAKE, directed by two-time Tony Award winning producer Robin Lavin Lane MFA Actor’s Studio, as well as producing and production designing upcoming short film ACAPULCO.
